Open call for London Design Festival!

We have the opportunity to sell one-off projects in a new shop (online & physical: in Shoreditch); this is an event in relationship with the London Design Festival – and it will last 3 weeks starting from it.
We have been asked to gather projects (a bit like a music label doing a compilation) and we are looking for your proposals of limited edition.

That’s quite a thrilling opportunity for us (and you!) and we would love you to get in touch and let us know about your projects!

UPDATE: Thanks you all for your proposals (and retweet!). Selection is over, we had a nice bunch of projects and choice was hard – some projects we really liked will definitely be part of our future collections and events.

I would like to submit my ‘Modern Vase Series’ for consideration. This series uses the modern manufacturing process of lasercutting to update ancient Greek and Chinese vase and vessel forms.

Lasercut acrylic pieces come flatpack and slot together to create single-stem vases.
Three pieces currently in range: two Greek forms and one Chinese form.

The Chinese form is hot out of Solidworks and ready to be cut, so if accepted you would be the only outlet where this one is available. Please visit http://www.sarahhousley.com to see the Chinese vase in prototype form. It could be produced in any colour of acrylic but I would propose it in a gold-yellow hue to associate it with its origins as a luxurious golden Chinese vase.

The vases retail for about £40 each and due to their flatpack form are extremely portable and easy to store.

I’d love to submit a variation on my Lab ware oil lamps!
We currently only offer them with dark red paraffin but my supplier has 24 different colors.
We can also offer our 2-d to 3-d coat tree & Illusion Mirror in matching hues.
We could color match your show…
    Thanks,
    Andie Olive
