DesignMarketo presents a popup bookshop for Idea Books

For its second show, DesignMarketo has been commisionned by Idea Books for their popup bookshop on St Martins Lane Hotel, for which we worked with designer Lars Frideen. Lars came with some genius idea and the shop looks trully nice. Idea Books gathered a rare selection of books and magazine. The selection is presented using Lars Frideen’s 15° shelves system which is working as a jewel box for those volumes.

The Pop-Up Shop is open seven days a week, 11am to 7pm – only until the end of February.

DesignMarketo presents Lars Frideen’s Coffee Table, Cactus Shelf, 15° degree Shelves, Sundial Stool and 10° Chair, part of “The Flatpack Le Plus Cool”.
Book typesetting poster by Amandine Alessandra is on sale as well: A book that is shut is but a block.

Opening stock includes Philip-Lorca diCorcia’s Streetwork, Gilbert and George’s Side by Side, Martin Parr’s Bad Weather, and Memphis and Superstudio catalogues. The nineties theme (IDEA Books at Selfridges) continues with more MAX magazines, Bruce Weber Interviews, Nan Goldin, Wolfgang Tillmans and Corinne Day.

And at IDEA Books in Dover Street Market, the amazing Comme Des Garcons issue of Visionaire, the first and last issues of SIX magazine and a 1985 Comme Des Garcons catalogue photographed by Paolo Roversi.
