Workshops
The first workshop, Head Written, will be lead by designer Amandine Alessandra. It will be based on stop motion and animation. We will ask a few participants to move within the iconic building space while wearing a special colour garment, to create a set of letters or signs that will then be animated into a short film.
Wednesday 25.05.11 from 2-4pm

* Typography for the Ephemeral, Amandine Alessandra, installation/performance at Liverpool Street Station.
The second workshop, Animated Words, will be inviting participants to choose a word, to cut out cards letters and to make the word into a mobile. We will then stop motion photograph the mobile during a short time until the specific point when all the letters match to form the word again.
The workshop will be lead by DesignMarketo’s own Alexandre Bettler.
Thursday 26.05.11 from 5-pm
Our featured product will be the Cactus Shelf, a beautiful and practical shelving system designed by Lars Frideen. The ‘cactus’ is constructed of a chosen number of elements that fit together very simply. This allows for the shelf to evolve and grow in slow motion…
24-26.05.11 – All day
The workshops are free and open to all. They are limited to about 10-15 people and booking by email is essential. Bookings are based on a first booked/first served basis. To register: info@designmarketo.com
