A basic fishing rig is made up of a float, hook, line and sinker – Fruit Fishing utilises the buoyancy of apples with the swift sinking of pears to replace the float and sinker in a conventional rig set up. Rods are not necessary for this technique; a simple hand reel and a few hooks are all you need to start fishing. There are some serving suggestions for your catch and reccomendations for optimal varieties to use for this sport… and never mind if you don’t catch anything, you won’t go hungry, just eat the fruits on your way home!
