Extract (original post on Dezeen):
Q. would you say that you have an approach to design, a methodology or a sort of an idea that you always have in your head when you approach your projects?
A. I’m always very interested on trying to find what the possibilities of the material that I’m using offer, how this could be pushed and used in different ways – I think the way something is made and the material that is used to make it is directly related to the way the thing should look. In a way, it’s a very honest piece – when you look at it you can see how it has been made. I try to do this as much as possible in my work and i try to look for this kind of solutions, because i think those are that are going to allow the final pieces to be clean and simple, work well and also be beautiful – because everything is there, it makes sense and it’s doing what it is supposed to be doing. In some ways, it’s a very old approach to design but at the same time i’m trying to find new ways of doing this traditional things…
