Based in London, Julian sees design as how an object is made as much as part of the actual design. He has always been fascinated in how things are produced, visiting factories, producers and exploring new techniques, materials and technologies. After studying architecture at the Bartlett, Julian went onto the Royal College of Art to study Design Products. Whilst there, he continued to develop his interest in processes further, focusing on developing new ways for people to become engaged in design and production. Julien joined DesignMarketo for the Tea Tasting organised at the Barbican in November 2010.
