Coffee & Friends
Our selection of specially commissioned objects are presented during the London Design Festival 2010 together with some products from Fruits & Vegetables event previously organised during the Salone del Mobile in Milan that same year. Coffee & Friends was our second FoodMarketo event, a joint project by Apartamento magazine and DesignMarketo. Both ventures are interested in the design community and decided to collaborate for an exclusive event at the London Design Week 2010.
Our friends Max Lamb & Lars Frideen designed the interior for us and the commissioned furniture was on sale directly after the event. The space also included DMOLab, a showcase of the work-in-process of three up-and-coming designers; Sibylle Stoeckli, Jochem Faudet and Harry Thaler.
Amandine Alessandra, Arabeschi di Latte, David Weatherhead, Harry Thaler, Lars Frideen, Loris and Livia, Misher Traxler, Nelly Ben Hayoum, Studio DuHo, Peter Marigold, Tomas Alonso, Form Follows Freedom All Cats Are Grey, Front Yard Company, Shai Akram and Andrew Haythornthwaite, Jackson Lam, Ken Kirton, and Brit Leissler
* Workshops and events are free and open to all.

The Lift & the Space/Object: magasine launch
Wednesday 22 September, breakfast (soft launch) – 10am to 12am.
Discover the first publication by Maria Jeglinska, The Space and the Lift, in collaboration with Olivier Lebrun. Maria will walk guests through her publishing project. The content functions as an itinerant exhibition where the publication follows the reader-viewer. The book documents the research (drawings, sketches, models, renders, visual research) that preceded the projects: the Lift (2010) and the Space/Object (2008). The Space and the Lift includes an essay by EESTT (Eastern European Study Think Tank) and typefaces by Emmanuel Rey.
